How to Search for Events on MotorsportReg

We’ve recently refreshed our calendar interface to make it even easier to find events near you. To help you get the most out of it, here’s a quick guide on how to navigate the new layout.

1. Go to the MotorsportReg Homepage

2. Enter Your Search Criteria

The main search form has several fields and filters. Here’s how to use each:

Field / Filter What it does Tips / Notes
Search (text) Enter keywords related to the event (e.g. “event name”, “organizer”, “venue”) If left blank, you’ll see all upcoming events within your other filters
Where Type a city, state, or ZIP code to narrow your geographic area Use a broader location (e.g. “Washington” or “WA”) if you’re flexible
Distance Specify how far from your “Where” location (e.g. 50 mi, 100 mi, 300 mi) This helps you avoid events that are too far away
Type of event Click “Add type” to select from event categories (e.g. autocross, karting, racing, HPDE) You can pick one or multiple types to filter results

Once your criteria are set, click Search.

3. Review Search Results

After you hit Search, the page will display a list of events matching your filters. The listing generally shows:

  • Event name

  • Dates

  • Location (city, state)

  • Type/category of the event

From here, you can click into any event for more details like schedule, registration, cost and contact information.

4. Refine or Broaden the Search

  • If you get no results, try broadening filters:

    • Increase the Distance radius

    • Remove or change the Type of event filter

    • Use a more general Where location (wider area)

  • If you get too many results, narrow:

    • Add a keyword in Search

    • Choose a more specific event type

    • Decrease distance or specify a smaller geographic area
